Ocean Joy Cruises is one of O'ahu's newest tour companies. Although our captain and crew are seasoned sailors and watermen, our boat and company are brand new! Our founder, Shane Griffin, had been vacationing on Kauai every year for 20 years, and every time he went there, he was sure to go on some sort of boat tour along the Na Pali Coast. It was his favorite thing to do! He loved the feeling of being on the open water with beautiful beaches, mountains, and valleys in front of him.
He later joined his family on Oahu and discovered the unspoiled beauty of the Makua Coast and Ka'ena Point. It is unbelievable to be able to experience that raw, unspoiled beauty of the outer islands, while still in the comfort and convenience of Oahu.
This is what he envisioned years ago, and this is what we bring to you today. Our Escape to Paradise Dolphin & Snorkel Adventure will bring you where few others have gone. Bus tours that "circle" the island will actually skip the West Coast all together, because the road does not go around Ka'ena Point. Kai 'Oli'Oli translates to "joy on the ocean." In ancient Hawaii, a name was chosen because of a specific feeling that would follow a spirit. Wanting to express the true nature of our boat, our crew, and our adventures with guests, Kai 'Oli'Oli, or "ocean joy" was the perfect fit!
The Kai 'Oli'Oli is Hawaii's newest, most state-of-the-art power catamaran in its class! Our exceptional high-speed and long range allows us to take you where no others go.
Made of high-tech fiberglass composite, the Kai 'Oli'Oli is one of the strongest tour boats in operation.
Super-charged engines will speed us from the Ko 'Olina Marina to the northernmost tip of the West coast, the sacred Ka'ena Point!
